Monterey Jack, sometimes called Jack, is an American white, semi-hard cheese made using cow’s milk.

It is, recognised for its mild flavour and slight sweetness.

It can be eaten by itself, or it is frequently combined with Colby to produce Colby-Jack or with yellow cheddar to produce cheddar-Jack.

The Monterey Jack is commonly used in Mexican and Spanish cuisine because of its mild in flavour and melts well.

It’s similar in taste and texture to Colby and Cheddar.

In terms of healthier cheeses, cheddar has 114 calories per ounce; cheddar has more calories than most other commonly-eaten cheeses.

Cheddar has more sodium than Swiss and Monterey Jack.

One ounce of Jack cheese contains about 100 calories, 5g of saturated fat, 170mg of sodium and 7g of protein.

This cheese also does not contain any carbohydrate.
