Abuta (Cissampelos pareira) is an herb, the root, bark, and other parts that grow above the ground are used as medicine. Abuta is a woody, climbing rainforest vine with leaves up to 30 cm long. It also lowers the blood pressure and as such is an effective herb for hypertensive patients.
