Poke-me-boy tree

Pokemeboy is indigenous to Anegada Island situated in the British Virgin Islands and is a part of the Caribbean island region.

The pokemeboy is a species of legume in the Fabaceae family.

It can only be, found in the British Virgin Islands. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests.

Acacia anegadensis (Pokemeboy), is a spiny tree in the bean family.

Apart from Anegada Island, the plant grows nowhere else on Earth. 

According to various report, the plant is critically endangered; the threat comes from development and livestock grazing which if it is, not controlled the plant could be extinct.
